Slackline World Records (2017 Edition)

It's crazy how far people are pushing the sport of slackline. Every time we think we've seen it all someone else comes along with a crazy stunt or longline that blows us away. Here's our list of the most recent official, and unofficial, slackline world records. (This list regularly updated).

Longest Highline

  • Length: 3,326.5 feet (or more than a kilometer)
  • Height: 1,968.5 feet off the ground at its highest point.
  • Held by: Danny Menšík & Nathan Paulin
  • Where: Aiglun, France
  • When: April 19, 2016
  • What Makes it especially impressive: A drone helicopter was used to help string the line between the peaks.

Longest Highline - Woman

  • Length: 728 feet (222 meters)
  • Height: 1,312 feet (400 meters)
  • Held by: Mia Noblet
  • Where: Hunlen Falls, B.C. Canada
  • When: August 24, 2016
  • What Makes it especially impressive: The line was 1,968.5 feet off the ground at its highest point.

Longest Highline Free Solo (no safety leash)

  • Length: 210 feet (64 meters)
  • Height: 951 feet (290 meters)
  • Held by: Spencer Seabrooke
  • Where: Stawamus Chief (north-north gully) - Squamish, B.C. Canada
  • When: August 10, 2015
  • What Makes it especially impressive: At one point he almost fell off the line... but he got back up and finished.

Longest Longline Free Solo (no safety leash)

  • Length: 2,001 feet (610 meters)
  • Height: ranged from a couple feet high to more than 10 feet off the ground
  • Held by: Alexander Schulz
  • Where: Chifeng, China
  • When: May 9, 2015
  • What Makes it especially impressive: They had to dig a huge trench so that Schulz wouldn't touch the ground (due to the 100 feet of sag the line experienced in the middle with Schulz on it).

  • Height: ranged from a couple feet high to more than 10 feet off the ground
